Why is their no bid ask?

Stop treating customers like amaters and give us the bid ask! We are not day trading where we want to bang a 50k order at market, let us sit offers on the bid, but we cant even see the bid price !!! Ridiculous

it was displayed 5 yrs ago and then stopped ..many raised req to show bid ask or buy sell price as it used to be, but t212 changed policy. now i hav to scan 10 websites before selling.

Its really ridiculous, I feel like im on some retail cheapy cfd platform where they think we are stupid.
Imagine going to a house auction and not knowing what the top bid is, but its just sealed bids and you guess what the top of book is. Embarrassing that t212 is doing this, its not a good look.

I find it hard and awkward to trade without bid and ask data.
It’s like flying blind.

That would be an awesome addition to make the platform complete.

@Team, pls review.
Thanks

We’ve discussed that in another thread. You can check my reply below:

When you are long term investor planning to hold for 10-20 years, bid/ask is irrelevant. Timing the market is a fools errand.

Any chance to pull through from your intermediary the bid & ask for each equity?

When trying to exit/enter ASAP (or at a specific price) the only option we really get is a market order, unless we use another platform to see the bid & ask of that equity.

I know I can do limit orders, but since there’s no bid/ask … what am I supposed to set my price to?

Make it so that when submitting and order (to either open or close a position) users can click on the bid or ask and have that number populated in the order entry window.

E.g. I wish to buy x stock at the best current price (best current price being the current ask).
I click buy on stock x, enter the number of shares, then click the ask — simple.

Same with exits: click sell stock x, enter shares, click bid, I’m out.

Your market orders result in bad fills/slippage.
Plus I’m blind as to where the bid/ask is trading so I’ve no idea how far from the price on your app they are.

Pretty please.

Probably won’t be integrated - but worth the ask.

Maybe the bid/ask prices from the market are not exactly the same as those used by T212.

It would be nice to know the Bid Ask as I recently got burned by the spread. I wouldn’t have bought if I knew the spread was so wide.

T212 need a licence to redistribute the bid & ask.
They don’t offer the bid/ask to probably keep costs low - makes a lot of sense.
Or to keep things simple - great excuse.

But there’s no need to rewrite reality, and tell people that their averaged number is a “more accurate reflection of a product’s value compared to the buy or sell prices.” No, just don’t. That is misleading. And that’s not right.

Agreed but 212 won’t listen.

Highly liquid stocks, probably doesn’t matter much though, less liquid then erm yeah need to DYOR elsewhere.

I would pay extra for bid/ask even if it’s just for Nasdaq I already pay £2 a month on webull for level 2 data

I think it should at least be an option for those who want to pay great you can see bid/ask etc those who don’t you only see LTP

Wannabe day traders are going to lose all their money?

Because of the bid & ask?

That’s like saying you’re certain to get into a car crash because the manufacturer has installed a fuel gauge.

Sadly seeing the bid and ask will make no difference to the outcome for them

Correct.
But now you’re contradicting what you said earlier.

Anyway, no harm done. Enjoy the rest of your day.

Its number 2 on the wishlist. Will keep adding it each year.
