Some countries appear to have S&S ISA equivalents
I hear both France and Slovenia have them IIRC?

In France the PEA is i believe less generous than the S&S ISA.
It enables you to invest in european equity ETF and stocks + synthetic equity ETF (since the basket of stocks owned by the issuer is european) with no tax until you withdraw the money out. Then you have to pay βsocial feeβ now raised to 18.6% (it was 17.2% last year and rose regularly for 30 years since it exists) instead of the flat tax of 31.4% (raised from 30% last year).
There is no yearly allowance but an overall 150K maximal invested amount forever. You need to not pull out anything for at least 5 years otherwise the tax would be similar to a general investment account.
