In light of the new addition of a 0.15% FX Fee, it has become more important to ensure that not only are stocks for an exchange made available, but that all supported currency variants are also present to avoid unnecessary exposure and expense to international clients.

If you notice that a stock or ETF is available on the platform, but not in a supported alternate currency, please reply below with details such as Ticker, ISIN, Exchange, Name and a URL to the exchange listing to support it. This post was made a Wiki so that additions can be made (and removed once added) by everyone who has a request. Please add your request to this post via edit’s rather than just in the comments below to ensure it is spotted by T212 staff.

Surely if this project of finding workarounds via alternative currency listings is too successful it will force Trading 212 to either increase the 0.15% to a higher %age, or find another source of income. I am guessing that 0.15% is mostly not for covering fx costs, since these can be done on Interactive Brokers for 0.002%.

T212’s long term goal is all listing for all exchanges, this is just helping keep to that goal with reduced pushback from the clientbase IMO. We can’t guarantee the liquidity for the different versions, but as long as the option is there. Like how SMGB and SMH on the LSE are the same stock just in different denominations. that’s the primary goal, the alternate exchange listings being the next best target.

The solution is not ideal, but at least alleviates some of the damage. In addition to be available in client’s currency, they also have to be fractional enabled.

Liquidity is another big concern, a challenge as there is mostly no MMs on foreign listings of major stocks. Slightly better in case of ETFs.

I probably worded it badly but the primary idea was if the current listing is LSE, then see if the LSE also has other currency listings for the same ETF like how it was with SMGB/SMH. this should avoid the worst issues, then we can get other exchange listings for those that don’t.

@libreus I would hope that’s the norm for current requests :thinking:

@Dao, I already asked for example more EUR-denominated ETFs and Stocks and also CHF-denominated Stocks in here:

They already are fully formatted with ISIN, ticker, currency and market.

I will constantly update my requests there.

There might also be issue as IBKR doesn’t have some of those listed.

Given the introduction of the new FX fee can you please prioritize in the coming days, before it comes into effect, adding existing ETFs in other currencies?

Yep, it’s weird that some Euronext Stock Exchanges are present in Trading 212, and others don’t.

It should simple and fast to add all the Portuguese Stock Exchange stocks, they are so few.

But some Portuguese large companies are present in the major European stock indexes, for example, on the various STOXX and MSCI indexes (market capitalization, sector, factors, ESG, etc).

Also the Italian Stock Exchange is a missed major market. Italy is 3rd largest Euro Area economy (only behind Germany and France, and in front of Spain and Netherlands already present in Trading 212). Before it was owned by London Stock Exchange and now it was bought by the Euronext. I hope, it could now also be added to Trading 212 markets.

ECAR is only available on the LSE in USD, but there is a Xetra listing under IEVD for EUR. no GBP option available.

RBTX is the alternate to RBOT on LSE so this is the kind of listings I was hoping to find :wink: it also has a Xetra listing for EUR under 2B76 :+1:
