Buying Minimum Amounts of Shares

It`s great that we can now buy fractions of shares, but it can be expensive buying large amounts of full shares. Take The Kainos Group for example. The minimum amount of shares that can be bought is 13. At the last close the price was £8.84. This would cost £114.92 to open a position. Can we lower the minimum purchase amounts in this share please and lower amounts in some other shares maybe or is there a problem with small companies?

Actually, when I first bought Kainos it was in the FTSE small company index. Now it`s in the FTSE 350.

@magpielad Now it’s 1. :slight_smile:

How is the per stock limit decided? This has stopped me from opening a position on Wisdom Tree platinum and palladium :cry:

@elliottm They’re now also 1. Soon to be available in fractional shares.
