Why is it I can invest in a company in the invest section of the app, but when I switch to the ISA section and search for it, it shows no results.

Not all stocks are ISA eligible.

There are limitations on the availability of instruments to be traded trough ISA, due to regulatory standards. Such is the case with AnPac Bio-Medical Science as it is being offered as an ADR- American Depositary Receipt.
