Differential in sell price

Hi, im looking for a bit of help.
I’ve got shares in Aerie Pharmace, yesterday the difference between trading price and sale price was 0.02 however when I have checked today the gap is far greater at 0.14. I thought the %age difference wouldn’t swing like that, is this normal?

Yes, normal and can be expected on certain stocks.
It depends on liquidity (buyers & sellers) in the market.
When the markets open it’s also common to see price gapping and also spreads to be larger.

You will find that this will settle once markets calm down and more normal trading resumes.
Sometimes the spread remains large if there is insufficient liquidity in the markets though.
Always something to bare in mind.

Appreciate it, thanks for the quick response
