Dividend taxation EUROPE

I would be interested to know how much dividends are taxed across all the EU stock exchanges.

E.g. how much is the withholding tax for France and Germany stocks if I hold a UK invest account.

how long must you own a stock before you claim the dividend. in full

You just need to hold it before the ex div date. There’s no set period.

Was wondering if anyone had any knowledge about withholding taxes within France? I believe it should be 12.8% if some forms are filled out (like KYC for the French government). Similar to the American W8 form.

Could staff advise a) why T212 hasn’t implemented this and b) why not?

Hello, @Recchan. We replicate the taxation applied by our intermediary, and the standard withholding tax for France is 25%. When it comes to the treaty, the best would be to contact the local authorities.

Would it be possible to look into implementing whatever forms are required to reduce it to the correct rate? (the rate for identified overseas persons)

You’ve implemented a similar identification for the USA (W8 form)

Thank you for the suggestion, @Recchan. I will forward it further and update the thread if there is any news. :v:
