Does anyone use a stock advisor

Curious of your comments about it I just subscribed to the Motley Fool this morning, their latest stocks recommendation are Lulu, FB, Amazon, Netflix, Tesla, Shopify…are them for real? Do I need their paid advices to “notice” these stocks and eventually (which I am not) buy them?

I hope there is more interesting things to find out in their subscription, good thing is that I can unsubscribe within 30 days and get a full refund. Value Line Investment Survey all the way, no comparison for analysis and recommendations, I got stock tips of companies that I believe many investors don’t know, the real not under the radar stocks.

Anyway I will keep the subscription for MF for this month and see how it goes, but it didn’t start in the idyllic way I thought it would.

I’ve never used an advisor as i prefer my own research but I have considered Strowz.
They give signals for £2.99 pm with 14 day trail or £4.99 with a virtual fund manager.
If someone Is a fan of them might be worth a look.

Dont get how or why Amazon is recommended. It almost has a monopoly now over most things, it can’t keep growing it has to be near its limit. With a PE of 68 it suggest large of amounts of growth remain, don’t see it.

If I remember, they recommend stocks for different things.

  1. A group of stocks for long term holds if starting from scratch to build your own custom DIY portfolio.
  2. An ICE stock - their monthly recommendation for a dividend stock.
  3. A fire stock - long term UK growth stock.
  4. A long term region agnostic growth stock.

And then a general summary of the returns since first recommendation, and if they suggest it’s time to sell.

Hi. How have MF performed in 2002 so far?

Hi. Are you still using Motley Fool? What is your view after having tried them?

Hi there. No actually I asked for a refund after less than a week. Their suggestions were the “hot stocks” that you can hear of anywhere. I prefer to scout secret or almost secret gems through other means. I prefer way more the Value Line Investment Survey and the Morningstar, even though I can tell you I found nice stocks using the normal free service of the Motley Fool. Hope this helps.

Thanks a lot! I will check this out.
