Is it possible to transfer selected holdings from another ISA to T212, while leaving other parts of it with the old provider? Specifically I’d be interested in transferring ETF & investment trust holdings from a Hargreaves Lansdown ISA, while leaving a small selection of mutual funds with them (as T212 does not support mutual funds currently). Is this something that can be done? Is anything more complex than the norm likely to cause problems??

Yes, we support partial transfers. Should you initiate a transfer request, you’ll be able to select only the assets you want to transfer, as long as each of them is available on our end.
Regarding mutual funds, we understand that not offering this product can be inconvenient for transfers. We’re already working on bringing mutual funds to the app, and I’ll let you know once we have further updates on that 
OK well to somewhat answer my own question, yes they do support transfers of individual securities within an ISA. As part of the ISA transfer process you may specify whole or partial transfers, and request in specie (as stock) or cash transfer. In the case of an in specie transfer, Trading 212 has to support the stock being transferred, and it has to be on their system. The transfer form generated when you complete the process in the app lists precisely the securities you want to transfer.
If the other ISA is all previous tax years contributions then partial transfers are allowed (this is the case for me). If it’s one you’ve paid into in the current tax year, then it looks like you are restricted to a complete transfer.
Thank you. I filled in the request and am happy to report the transfer of securities has now completed. It’s taken about 14 days from submitting the request for an in specie ISA transfer from HL to the stocks coming across. All seems to have been done correctly with no drama
