Wow, you guys are crazy! Nearly beats the rate i have with metro bank at 5.22%

When that drops i think you’ll be the best option on the market for easy access savings!

Im talkng about when metro bank rate drops below 5.2, trading212 will be the best option

We might as well increase all the rates once more next time

Just seen this when logging in, it’s a lovely welcome. I have a savings account that tracks the UK base rate 5.25% (nolonger available to new members) which is amazing and beats every other. I don’t have much in it as its a 3 month notice account and subject to income tax which brings it down to 4.2%. So this is absolutely fantastic!

This does not work for me, I have left £5 in for a week to test i and don’t get anything

Considering the amount you’re testing with, the daily interest you earn is below the minimum threshold. Whenever you earn less than 0.01, the payment is carried forward until it reaches 0.01 or more. Once this happens, all of the interest will be paid to you, and you’ll receive an in-app notification :v:

Has T212 now got a banking licence or will tgey operate as a money institution only?

It was discussed in here:

Hi

Why is there a difference between Your Cash and the amount invested in QMMFs?

Thanks

I think it’s the daily interest amount, not updated and or reinvested yet.

And there is also a £200 difference, could that be bonus related?

The ‘Current stats’ tab shows the free funds currently available in your account, while the ‘How we hold your XXX’ tab shows your settled cash at the time. The information is updated once per day at the time you receive your interest payment, hence why there may be such discrepancies at times.

Still confused as they are still different?

BinvestHQ: T212’s is also subject to income tax.

Only taxable in the Trading 212 Invest account but not in the UK ISA account which is totally tax free and this is where I do nearly all my trading/investing.
