German Tax on investing

Hello, I hope everyone is having a nice day.

I have a question for anyone using trading 212 and living in Germany, so I’m a student here and I’m invested in a couple of stocks with a small amount I invested 163 euros and I have made a profit, do I have to pay tax on the profits or its different for students and because its a small amount so it doesn’t get taxed? I hope someone can answer these questions fro me.

You don’t have to pay taxes if you make less than 802€, 1602€ if you are married.

Cheers

oh ok, thank you very much

801€ actually :sweat_smile: got to be exact in Germany

No, 801€ is allowed. I said less than 802€. So that is the upper limit. But thanks

Hahah yes but obviously 801,99 would also be taxable even though it is less than 802

Hi saifali, is this amount (802€) per year? Or monthly?

According to this source:

It is 801e per year.
