Hi,
I want to do a portfolio transfer from a LISA with HL to a Cash ISA with T212. I have already tried via the Portfolio Transfer button but it keeps getting rejected - I assume because they are 2 different ISA types. Can anyone help please?

Not sure why it’s failing but that may be a good thing if you’re unaware of the 25% hit you’ll take LISA > Cash ISA, assuming you’re under 60.
Thanks for the tip but I want to buy a house with it as a first time buyer, but my budget is higher than the 350k allowance you can use it on. So i think itll be better in a cash ISA? Happy to hear any advice tho!
Isn’t the purchase price cap 450k?
Possibly, its still too low for me though, so I want to move to a Cash ISA from a S&S ISA with another company. Really stuck on how to do this though?
You can transfer a Lifetime ISA (LISA) to a Cash ISA, but it will be treated as a withdrawal and subject to the 25% government withdrawal charge if you’re under 60. This means you’ll receive less than the amount you originally invested.
Probably this is the reason it cannot be done automatically. I would send a message to HL and ask them if you can transfer it from HL LISA to HL S&S ISA and then you can transfer easily HL S&S ISA to Cash ISA T212.
But again, if you do that, you will loose more than you put in.
