Use Reorder button at the bottom:
The difference is that in the history section uses all of the deposits to calculate the number (including deposits made by T212 like free shares and corrections). In the new ānet depositsā figure only the deposits and withdrawals made by the account holder are used.
Thanks for pointing out the cursor over chart, I was just clicking on the periods and then nothing changes.
Thank you, didnāt see that. Cheers.
youāre very welcome!
So I just checked out the total free shares I got (1) and value was Ā£7.95.
Mistery solved.
Net Deposits = Total Deposits - Total Withdrawls - Total Free Sharesā Value
youāre very welcome!
Definitely needs the feature added back in showing the current total and % increase/decrease of all investments and pies combined without anything else.
Can anyone confirm, when the pie is being calculated for ROR, does it include dividend payments if Auto re-invest is turned off? I prefer to allocate any divs where I see fit and the payments just go to my free funds but are they allocated to that pie?
Iām confused by what is shown on the time intervals, it seems to be widely exaggerating rate of return. I might be wrong, but I think it is including net deposits & cash invested, into the rate of return. Surely rate of return should be stock gain/loss?
Please can the invested amount line be added back to the chart please? or the option to show, please.
Any chance we can have the option for the old display showing the rate of return of current invested amount, excluding realised loss/gain, please?
And/or you may need to change timeframes to see it - in case the line is too far away from the total value of your portfolio.
I only see the Blue Value Line and the optional Grey Net Deposits line.
One of the most useful pieces of information for the investor and theyāve taken it off the screen. Frankly, it is ridiculous not being able to see RoR/Gains on live investments - it is this information that enables you to quickly determine how well your investments are doing.
If I am to place another Ā£20,000 here in April I will definitely need to see this information when managing a Ā£42,000 portfolio with 30+ holdings. Can anyone explain why this was removed and how is it beneficial?
Hi, just joined the forum to reply to this thread after lurking for 1 year.
Whilst the changes are good, youāve removed two key bits of information, namely the unrealised gain/loss which was previously labelled as āReturnā and the actual āInvestedā amount excluding āReturnā. I am referring to the S&S ISA portfolio page.
Can you please re-include āReturnā & āInvestedā which are useful to monitor account performance intra-day and mainly though because I use it in a weekly spreadsheet I update every Saturday.
Thankfully the mobile app has not yet received this change.
Thanks,
Simon
Hi @George. Happy New Year! Iād like to ask you if it would be possible to include a Year to Date (YTD) in this chart, so investors could have access to their return since the start of the year.
Hi, Iāve just logged into the new S&S ISA web interface. While the display information update is useful and a nice addition but Iām afraid that is what it should be, an addition. The previous information that was displayed ment more to me and I would prefer to have it back please.
I think a better option would be to have a customizable section in this area, where it can be personalized to display the information the individual would like. The option to have 2-4 pieces of personalized selected data would be of more use.
Please revert to the previous edition. Thank you.
Apologies, I misunderstood your comment.
Currently only the deposited funds line can be turned on/off.
Can we please have the total account size on top left of screen back in advanced view?
It was useful to quickly see performance without clicking anywhere.
Now you have to click into the ā212 buttonā to see it.
Maybe it can be incorporated into the figures at the bottom, so no number crunching on the fly has to be done.
Hi,
I second this. As much as I like the improvement to see the overall performance of your account, you no longer see the performance of current investment and have to do the math +/-.
Iād like like to see a toggle or switch between current layout and previous version of the chart - especially the number for āreturnā on current investments as opposed to the total return per account.
Thanks!
Old Interface v New Interface
I chose not to update the app on my mobile to avoid these changes that make the platform worse. Itās not possible to do this on the web browser app.
Old
New
I much prefer the old layout, which helps you keep on top of how your active investments are performing as opposed to the new one which does not provide clarity. Though I do find the net return useful, just not here.
I agree it should be an addition or an option, not replace what was there before.
As mentioned here - Money-Weighted Rate of Return: Definition, Formula, and Example
What Is Better, Time Weighted or Money Weighted?
While each indicates how your investment has performed, they demonstrate performance accounting for different investing actions. So neither is better or worse; they can be used together or separately to determine how an investment is performing.
Though I appreciate the change, taking away the previous measurement entirely removes a valuable tool many of us commenting were using to measure our performance.
Hi! Nice idea, however for me personally I am not a fan of the new view in the top left at all, is there an option to change the āValueā screen back to the accounts live value rather than the historic growth. If not I think maybe a drop down option with different view settings would be nice to add. As I just find it more confusing personally.
