Interest earnings on specific free funds (selective opt out)

Hey there! First let me say I have been using T212 for less than a year and I already appreciate all the updates and hard work you guys put in!

As the title suggest I think it would be good to be able to opt out of interest being payed on specific currencies. Lets say one holds USD and EUR, but you only want to get interest on USD, so you should be able to opt out of EUR.

Maybe it is possible but I just did not see it!

Keep up the great work!

Hey, @Pamphlet

For the time being, this isn’t possible, but it’s definitely an interesting suggestion. I’ll forward it to the team and let you know if it gets introduced in the future :raised_hands:

Why would you want to hold EUR currency and not earn interest on uninvested funds?

I live in the EU and my income is in EUR, so it’s whats deposited deposited onto T212 . I have started converting it to USD - since the T212 Card FX change. Awesome change by the way!

But if I want to make a pie invest (for example monthly) of some ETF that is in EUR, lets say invest 100€, I would leave 100€ in my account for when the buy date arrives. Now why would I not want interest on it? Because it would only be on the 100€ that was in the account for just a day or two. Saves me the hassle from reporting 1 cent per day of interest to the local tax man. We have to report the interest as it arrives - so daily .
