Hello,
I know you had this question many times already.
But for me, it’s very important to know the approx. date to expect the card. Yes, I joined the waiting list 1 month ago.
No further emails.
I have an international trip on 18th March, if I do receive the card by then I will use it, if not I am thinking of withdrawing some funds to Revolut and then using their card. I will need to do the money movements the week before, that’s why is so important to know if potentially we will have the card in a matter of days or weeks, if it’s being delayed to April, or what are the most probable scenarios?
Thanks
We’ll start sending the first invites by the end of March. Given the timing, I’m afraid I have to disappoint you regarding the likelihood of receiving it before your upcoming trip.
This looks great! Will we be able to move funds from trading 212 to this account instantly instead of waiting several days like it currently is with other accounts? Or will we be able to spend the funds that are in our trading accounts?
With the initial release, the 212 Card will only be linked with your Invest account’s free funds. We do plan on introducing the option to segregate funds in different pots at a later stage.
Hi. is there any plan for introducing local bank accounts for the EU countries where the currency is not EUR? Or some (yearly?) debit card free fee limit?
Using debit card to top up finance “killing” this awesome card.
0,7% card fee + 0.15% exchange fee
Bank transfer is even worse - SWIFT fees + time delay
If add JPY currency, that would be great.
Does Trading212 have any plans to introduce a virtual card feature that allows the creation of temporary card numbers for online transactions, with customizable spending limits to enhance security and prevent overcharging? (Similar to privacy.com)
Has anyone already received a card?
I know you spend as much money in Turkey as I do ![]()
But for your first trip, have a backup ready since T212 is blocked in Turkey (due to gambling laws and CFD being considered “gambling”)
It, most likely, will not effect card TX since it’ll ride on mastercard backbone and T212 accounts are carried by JP Morgan internationally, but you never know.
That is a good point, Thanks. I normally use Revolut in Turkey for my spending. To access my Trading 212 account I use a VPN. It will be interesting to see in the Trading 212 payment card works.
Not yet. Not quite the end of March I guess.
I as read the CARD will be issued by paynetics.
What IBAN we will have linked to the card?
BG or UK?
And…not yet
Any updates?
This is great idea, especially if the targeted pie can be in the ISA account.
We have accounts in all currencies that we support, for like-to-like deposits. We have plans to introduce dedicated consumer IBANs, but cannot confirm ETA yet
If you’re referring to the card deposits, they remain unchanged as of the moment but we might consider increasing them.
We’ll let you know if that happens ![]()
That’s a nice suggestion - thanks for sharing. We’ll consider it and let you know if there are updates about it.
Initially, there won’t be IBANs.
Hi, thank you for reply. I know, but that is not what I meant. The only cheap / fast / reasonable money transfer is to local bank account in the country (for example for PLN - local Polish bank account, for CZK - local Czech bank account, etc.) or SEPA transfer but only in EUR. All other transfers in different currencies / to different country is SWIFT transfer which is quite expensive (usually minimum fee + % fee + intermediate bank fees, etc.). And it make no sense to convert local currency to EUR → transfer money to T212-> convert it for example to GBP or USD. Btw, that is the reason why many of my friends stopped using T212 after the card fee was introduced - the total cost of transferring + investing money was higher then using more expensive broker (order fees) but with local bank account / free card top up.
Is this still on track for March?
Yes, we’ll be sending the first invites this week.
