iOS 18 widgets soon?

Hello T212 Development Team and Community,

With the official release of iOS 18, as you may already be aware, all legacy widgets have now been deprecated, including the official widget from T212. While I have found an app called Widgets212 that somewhat addresses the issue, I wanted to reach out to inquire if there are any plans or interest in offering an official widget directly integrated into the T212 app for iOS 18.

I believe many users would appreciate having a seamless experience with an official widget, and Iā€™d love to hear your thoughts on this.

Hey, @Rodrigoesv - thanks for bringing this up :pray:

This is a suggestion we have started receiving more and more in the last few months, and weā€™ll soon start working on home and lock screen widgets that will be supported with the latest iOS version. Thereā€™s no ETA or a deadline to share currently, but Iā€™ll let you know once there are further updates.

Not sure how long ago it came about but I noticed a couple days ago thereā€™s an official Trading212 widget available now on iOS18, just in case you werenā€™t aware.

We rolled out the ā€˜Home screenā€™ iOS widget recently with version 7.53.0 :tada:

For its v1 we have:

  • Small ā€œPortfolio overviewā€ widget
  • Account selection on long press
  • Refreshes every ~15 minutes

Hi, Am i right to understand that there only widgets available for iOS, or are there widgets for Android aswell. If there arenā€™t will there be any ? In the future

Thatā€™s correct - the widget is available only for iOS devices. Currently, we cannot provide any updates on developing an Android widget in the near future.
