Is there a possibility of a T212 pension platform (SIPP)

Thanks for the update, albeit a limited one, would just like to echo what @CamC said that you have the opportunity to take a huge chunk of market share here if you can get this over the line and get it done soon. Robinhood have been smashing it in the US and are now pushing into EU and the UK, and as hard as I’m sure everyone at T212 is working, this should light a fire underneath you all as Robinhood are no joke with their growth and execution, something T212 should look to mirror.

Robinhood promise me there sipp will be ready before the end of the year and also there isa , and so far they have been proven to be good at delivering in the USA and so far the uk can’t wait to see if the market changes

I need to move my SIPP out of Nutmeg ASAP and I wanted to wait for Trading 212 SIPP but honestly it looks like it will never see the sun light. Where do you guys hold you SIPP ?

@KrisG With no official date in sight, could you offer a hint about the timeline for this feature? Is it currently in testing? I’m trying to avoid opening another account with a platform like InvestEngine just for this, so I’m hopeful it will be released soon.

Fidelity and AJ Bell for me.

I hope they will, it would be ultimate solution. I have account with IBKR as well, but they don’t offer SIPP for retail. Fees on RH are very low, so it would be best overall solution for a lot of folks.

agreed, it doesnt even have to be free, just a small charge and the same no commission trading as the ISA and Invest accounts and boom instant flood of market share. The likes of HL and AJ Bell etc would be screwed as anyone who has any sense would abandon them with their extortionate fees

I doubt they will screwed. I don’t think people feel safe to keep huge pots of 6-7 figures in T212.

absolutely, but in 10-15 years this will not be the case

You say that but if you start with lots of small users that see their pots grow, slow and steady wins the race.

I hope they will do it. But it will have to prove they are reliable. So, far experiences were not great. Hopefully it improves

I appreciate you likely have no concrete dates to announce, but are you able to state if you are targeting a release this tax year or not?

hi @KrisG,

Yes it’s that time again that I am gonna ask for

Are there any updates regards the SIPP account offered from T212?

And is there maybe an ETA?

Thank you

Freetrade’s SIPP is now becoming free from January. Sad that T212 have been beaten by multiple other brokers to provide a free SIPP. Early mover advantage largely gone now.

I agree. I got fed up of the infinite wait and moved my SIPP to Invest Engine. Even if T212 bring theirs out in the near term, I won’t be bothering with it now.

I did start a SIPP with IE but, in my experience they were incompetent for any form of withdrawals. Fortunately because IE could not accept any transfer-ins I did not transfer any of my SIPPS to IE.

I have now moved all my SIPPS to Freetrade which are excellent. The only down side is that they have a high charge for withdrawals. So I have setup a SIPP account with HL which is only used for paying (UFPLS) withdrawals, for which they are no charges, with funds transferred from Freetrade as appropriate.

for the last decade

  • t212 will have SIPP this year
  • and tesla will have FSD next year

Dear Santa, I would love to receive a Trading212 SIPP for Christmas!

PS 2025 would be nice, or at least early 2026……
