Is there an Acronym helper?

So pretty new to trading, and just a bit confused by something I canā€™t seem to Google my way to better knowledge of.

If I search for ā€œInvesco FTSE all worldā€

I get a lot of results that look identical apart from an acronym preceeding them - FWRG, FTWG, FWRA - these are the three that trade on the London Stock Exchange.

Can anyone tell me the difference? And if there is any kind of comprehensive acronym buster for trading that would be super.

They are the tickers by the looks, or short identifiers of different ETFs.

www.justetf.com is a good resource to provide the detail, or search the ticker in the 212 app, and look at the KID.

I see, thanks. It seems a bit confusing to a newcomer as a ticker for a normal stock is so obviously an abbreviation of the name of the company, but for these are all for very similarly titled ETFs , but it is not obvious where the letters come from.

(third link in next post as Iā€™m a noob)

Just the links to the stocks - I guess maybe F stands for FTSE, ā€˜Gā€™ for GBP and A for American dollar (although that would be weird as itā€™s usually USD). The letters in the middle I have no ideaā€¦

But I guess it isnā€™t that important in the end. So long as you study the differences and choose the right stock for you, then knowing the ticker to your own stocks is all the info you need, even if I would like to know what it stands for :joy:
