ISA Annual Statement - to provide same data as Invest Annual Statement

I contacted support to see if its possible to provide an ISA Annual Statement.

Support advised you can only get an Invest Annual Statement and that it’s not required for ISA as you don’t pay Tax on an ISA. :upside_down_face:

I advised support that an Annual ISA Statement gives a really good summary of my Investments, including Profit and Loss for both Realised and Unrealised, Dividends, Interest paid on Cash Balance etc. This allows me to review the past year to plan for my new allowance.

Is this something T212 could please implement?

I think this feature is needed. Especially when it comes to prove income for various reasons, such as buying a house or anything else.

Someone could show few annual statements showing they are getting x returns and have x amount of money invested.

There are montly statements, but they don’t mean anything, just that you have x amount invested.

Yeh great point Vento, I didn’t think of that!

If it’s functionality that is already built into the system (and I guess it would be if they are already providing annual statements on Invest accounts), then I am not sure why they are against providing an annual statement to ISA customers. Obviously there is no need for a Consolidated Tax Certificate on an ISA, which is what most UK brokers issue once a year for general investment accounts. These aren’t statements, more a confirmation of the various types of income you’ve received through the tax year (e..g UK share dividends, interest, foreign dividends, PID’s etc.) as they are all treated a bit differently for tax purposes.

For what it’s worth, the other brokers I have Stocks ISA’s with typically provide quarterly statements. One of them gives an ā€œinvestment reportā€ with a portfolio x-ray style analysis along with transactions, while another just lists your holdings and a list of transactions during the period. I don’t have a GIA with T212 so don’t know what format these annual statements are.

Thank you all for the feedback. I’ve shared your suggestions with the team so they can be considered.
