Hi are there any plans to do limit orders byt a specific cash amount., and how long the order will stay active
as of now when limit orders are set i have to toggle the number of units to get to the amount i want to invest in a company / etf. would be so much easier to just say i want to invest 5k at XX price and for the app to calculate no of units.
currently order expiry is till end of day, or good till cancelled. would be good to specify end date
Are there any plans on this please? it would be great to set to have expiration options on limit orders + instead of specifiying number of shares, just specfying the amount one wants to invest. make life so muc easier than manually having to compute how many shares to buy via limit order.
At the moment, we don’t have plans to expand the Limit order options, such as allowing you to set a cash amount or define how long the order remains active. If this changes in the future, we’ll be sure to let you know.
The platform and user interface is continually evolving, and mostly improving.
Please would your design team consider placing some indication of the duration of a limit order within the pending orders listing? It would be handy to look down the pending limit orders list to see which ones will expire at the end of the day and which are good until cancelled, without going to each individually.
Also, it would be useful (as suggested by someone previously) to place limit orders with a choice of monetary value or share quantity as is available on market orders. Surely this is an oversight rather than for any reason of functionality?
Finally, a facility to ‘roll up and expand’/hide all sections in the investment screen would be an advantage. I’d personally prefer not to see the share heat map glaring at me continuously, only when I expand that, or in fact all section like the AI portfolio analysis and the ISA deposit graph (which is a waste of screen real estate, if ever). I might just be being OCD, but I’m sure I’m not the only one. Thanks.
