"You can't place an order with more than 95% of your funds" limit should be removed

This is such an annoyance when I have the money to buy, but it tells me that I can’t spend it. I’m forced to convert my money or deposit more. If the goal is to prevent missclicks then it’s not like you prevented something since 95% of capital is still spent. The app is starting to become irritating. I hope you sort it out and make it a “customer” oriented UI.

It’s because the share price might move substantially after you place a market order (up to 4.99%) and to still allow the order to go through.

You could always choose value instead ?

Thanks for the explanation

But I’m talking about limit orders. There’s no price going up and down. It’s supposed to fill the order at the limit I set it to. And there is no value option there either.

Should’ve been fixed 5 years ago :person_shrugging:

When it comes to Limit Orders there’s still a FX risk involved - that’s why the 5% buffer is still in place.

We plan to address this for accounts where no currency conversion occurs, but it has been postponed in favor of other priorities.

When you say accounts I hope you don’t mean the whole account. It should be based on single transactions. For example on my account I could convert euro to usd before buying and when I sell a stock it gets sold in usd without converting back to euro.

Agree with you on this. The feature is ridiculous and annoying, especially as I only use my ISA!
