This would be heaven!
All I did was sold what I had in the investment account, and quickly re-bought it all back in the ISA account. The only problem doing this is that with my UK stocks I had to pay stamp duty again and on my USA stocks I lost out due to the exchange rate not begin the same for a sale as it is for a buy. For me, this expense was small as my amount size is not that big, but I could see this being a problem if a large volume of shares was being transferred.

cannot be done. profits/losses must be realized and taxes paid for the HMRC to allow you to move the funds into an ISA.
