Multi currency request for open positions

If we can have cash in multiple currencies and see each currency separately, why can’t we have the same for the investments? It makes it unnecessary difficult to see all investments in the main currency, when each investment may be in a different currency. Moreover, when investing in a stock I’m not investing in forex, so I would prefer to be able to see the position I have for each stock in its currency, as that is what will influence my decision making. If i’m going to buy or sell stock i’m not doing it based on exchange rate, i’m doing it based on how the stock is performing in its currency. Exchange rate is only important when i chose to withdraw money from a foreign currency.
I understand other people may have other opinion, but this should at least be configurable. The same way it is configurable which currency to use in the selling transactions, i should be able to select which currency i want to see my open positions: main currency or the stock currency.

I agree. I have EUR account, but my country has different local currency. I use multiple currency feature and some of my deposits are in my local currency and than exchanged to dollars. So when you automatically recount forex impact to EUR, it’s complete nonsense and screws with my gains/loss statistics of non-euro instruments. Same thing with history of buys, sells or dividends payouts. I would need to completely recount it manually for my taxes.
