I’d love to see Trading 212 give users the option to choose how portfolio and position performance is displayed.
Right now, everyone sees the same performance calculation, but different investors prefer different ways of measuring returns.
For example, I’d personally like to use Realized and Unrealized Net Liquidation P&L, as it shows what my actual profit or loss would be if I closed my positions at that moment.
Others may prefer:
- Standard P&L
- Total Return (including dividends)
- Price Return (excluding dividends)
- Other commonly used performance metrics
This would only affect how results are displayed in the app it wouldn’t change transaction history, tax reporting, or accounting.
I think giving users the ability to choose their preferred performance metric would make Trading 212 even more flexible and useful for different investing styles.
