“Prosus, one of the world’s largest technology investors, will make its debut on the Euro STOXX 50 (STOXX50E) on September 21 as part of a reshuffle of the index, index provider STOXX announced on Tuesday. Prosus owns nearly a third of China’s Tencent (HK:0700).
(…) Inclusion into an index can help companies bring extra investors on board. Equita analyst Gianmarco Bonacina estimates that Prosus could benefit from up to 2 billion euros ($2.4 billion) in passive fund flows through its promotion to the top 50 stocks index.”
When a new stock enters on a index, the index-funds/ETFs will buy the new entries and sell the stocks that exit the index.
Prosus could be a good bet for two reasons:
Is entering a major index (the Europe’s leading index);
For those investors that want exposure to Tencent, but until Trading 212 add it, Prosus is a way to get exposure to Tencent.

Hi @David@Martin@PeterA@Team212, I think this request has some valuable investing opportunities! Please take these into consideration on the next batch to add. Thanks!
Because, let’s face it, Trading 212 is UK-biased, lots of GBP-denominated ETFs and stocks (including secondary and lesser liquid UK stocks), specially as EUR is the 2nd most traded currency in the world and Euronext already surpassed the London Stock Exchange.
These 2 companies are 2 of the largest European asset management firms by AUM.
DWS (Xtrackers) is No.2 Europe’s ETF provider (BlackRock/iShares is No.1)
Amundi (5th largest Europe’s ETF provider) announced it will buy Lyxor ETF (3rd largest Europe’s ETF provider), making Amundi the No.2 in Europe’s top 10 ETF providers.
If we add the Mutual Funds and ETFs, Amundi is already the No.2 in the Europe’s top 10 asset managers by AUM. Known US ETFs and Mutual Funds providers, like Vanguard or SPDR lag behind the European Asset Management Firms.
