Youâre right, I just noticed it says âpopularâ.
Thanks and now I am able to request portfolio transfer.
Any news on in-pecie transfers to an ISA acct?
And an update on when I will be able to import a S&S ISA from Freetrade would also be welcomed!
Weâre gradually rolling out the feature to more clients, and the full release is just around the corner. As soon as you have access to it, weâll notify you.
Where can I verify the list of supported brokers for in-specie transfer-out and transfer-in portfolios?
If the lists are incomplete, I would like to confirm whether in-specie transfer-in from InvestEngine and transfer-out to Lloyds Bank are supported.
Thank you.
Hey, @samurai
For incoming transfers, you can find specific providers by visiting the âPortfolio transfersâ tab within the app and using the search function on the page.
Keep in mind that the supported providers for Invest and Stocks/Cash ISAs may differ, so itâs key that you search while logged in to the account youâre looking to transfer to or from.
Incoming transfers from InvestEngine are supported for both ISAs that we offer, so you should be able to find the provider. Transfers from and to Lloyds are possible for all accounts that we offer.
When will fidelity netbenefits be supported? (Not fidelity international)
+1. There is huge usage of Fidelity USA (i.e. Fidelity Netbenefits) for American companies giving RSUs to EU employees. Interactive Brokers (IBKR) can accept transfers from this source but really need T212 to step up and implement this to have everything in one place!
I cannot currently confirm if or when Fidelity NetBenefits will be added among the supported brokers in the future.
Itâs worth noting that you can do multiple in-specie transfers to get to where you need to be (in or out) by choosing a middle man that supports both.
E.g to move to IBKR you could move to another broker that supports all of your instruments and has IBKR support e.g Interactive Investor, HL whatever then you transfer 212->ii->IBKR yes it takes a few months but you could be waiting for years otherwise.
@InternetKing in your case you could go IBKR->(Pick a broker off the supported 212 list that also supports transfers from IBKR)->T212
Hope this helps someone!
Thanks for this. Agree in some cases it can be handy to use a âmiddle manâ. There are some pitfalls though e.g. A colleague tried to transfer from Fidelity USA â Fidelity International â T212.
T212 ended up rejecting the transfer as Fidelity International could not transfer this stock via a mechanism that T212 could accept. (This is despite the stock in question being tradable on both Fidelity and T212 and Fidelity International being listed as a transfer target in T212 app)
Itâs also worth mentioning since this is RSUs, they vest quarterly so doing this multiple times a year via a middleman sounds like a crazy overheadâŚ
Since legislation is due to allow fractional shares within an ISA account, is this an upcoming feature? I have a Freetrade ISA with fractional shares, which I want to transfer in. However, the lack of this feature is prohibiting me from transferring.
Itâll never be a feature to the complex nature of how they are held at brokerage level. Youâd have to sell off the fractional aspect and transfer only the full shares.
I am considering to transfer my two-ETF portfolio from Trade Republic to T212, if I can bear their ~50⏠fee for that. Is all the information related to purchases made in previous service also transferred to T212, like date and purchase price/cost?
I noticed some people wishing to have a possibility to edit purchase cost or average price of imported securities, stating also that some competing services allow this already. Doesnât this mess up the profit/tax calculations on reports if one can change the original cost of the purchase?
I tried twice to transfer from TR to T212, initiated the transfer on the T212 side, TR does not even answer/react at all âŚ
Send them an official complaint, then after 8 weeks, pass the case onto the financial ombudsman. Itâs annoyingly time consuming but hopefully will get things moving.
@LipeMO Well, thatâs encouraging indeed lol. What email did you provide to T212 to contact them? If you go to TR main site, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click Imprint (might be different in your language) a box will appear which has a bit down a country-specific email to file complaints, like complaints-de@traderepublic.com. You could give it a try as @1anrs suggested and state them some reasonable deadline to respond, or you will contact BaFin.
For my own question above, I believe I asked something too obvious, but letâs make a concrete example of what I mean.
If I have bought in TR
01.12.2024 VWCE 1 share by 80âŹ
01.01.2025 VWCE 1 share by 85âŹ
01.02.2025 VWCE 1 share by 90âŹ
15.02.2025 Created T212 account
20.02.2025 Transferred TR portfolio to T212
Will VWCE activity of 01.12.2024 - 01.02.2025 be shown in T212 official statements and history search, with above purchase dates and share prices?
Any updates when the incoming in specie partial transfer will be available for everyone?
Thank you.
