Hi, I would like to know what happens to me, as a shareholder and investor in chinese companies listed in the New York Stock Exchange, if it’s decided for the delisting of those companies. Will I be forced to sell them, or will I still be able to trade them after being delisted? Thank you
With the proposed change companies will have 3 years to comply with the changes before facing delisting, so there is not any imminent danger about this. I don’t know why most of the news articles try to give a wrong impression about this.
To get an idea, you can check topics about LATAM, it was delisted this year. As far as I know, investors kept their stocks but were not able to trade (since the company is not traded on that stock exchange anymore) and were waiting for addition of OTC access for the stock.
