the oil industry is practically sunk at the moment. best to avoid entirely if new to it, especially if you haven’t got enough research to give you a reason to buy any.
some stocks never recover, there were companies in the housing industry that were still trying to recover from 2008 before this coronavirus happened and hit them again.
I know they’ve just bought some fields off BP and have quite large debts but seem to be turning it around and had a strong end to 2019 before the pandemic.
