PrimaryBid broker integration

I’m really annoyed at the lack of response / progress here from Trading 212 @Team212 .

Since I am not allowed to open another ISA with another broker this tax year, two stocks I already own with Trading 212 came up on Primary Bid last week, I would have registered to buy them.
The discount was not enough to warrant opening with another compatible trader with the fees and the taxes but I will register with a competitor if attractive deal comes along and Trading 212 still is not on board.

Wont let you sign up to a deal without a broker, I tried.

Also very annoyed i have been ignored after requesting three times maybe time to change broker. Even a negative response would have been better than being ignored.

a bump from me for you guys, this is good stuff. worth all the scrolling on a miserable monday!

@David, @George - pretty please?

Do it T212, I need to get rich.

Rich?
You won’t purely via this method?
Why do you think buying from PB will make you rich?

I demoed the PB service

In short - not worth it. Painful. Slow.

As for the ā€˜discount’ … please do the maths

I’m just being sarcastic but I would like primary bid

So I tried to purchase stock through Primary Bid:

"Thanks for getting in touch and for your interest in PrimaryBid.

At the moment, your broker has not given us their permission to be added to our website and we aren’t able to add brokers without prior consent.

We suggest that you contact them to discuss this or, alternatively, you can view the brokers currently on our drop down list. You can find this list under Profile > Broker Details.

Please do let me know if you have any further questions.

Kind regards,"

This has been mentioned in the past, yet 212 haven’t acted on this. Why?

And am I now forced to use another broker to participate in this offering?

This looks cool, but fairly niche in the same sense. Perhaps at this point they don’t think there is enough volume or interest to participate?

Correct. It’s a rare thing, but here I am with an opportunity to buy shares at a discount…

Only I can’t

I guess I’d you had to do it through another broker, out with your ISA then you would have the 12.3k annual capital gains alliance to sell. That’s something at least so it’s not that you can’t, just can’t with 212.

What might make things difficult is the fact 212 work with Interactive Broker, so depending on that mechanism might be out if their control.

Interactive Broker are on the list!

Ooh interesting. Thinking between the lines, that then should only mean if its available through the IB API or not.

Yup.

They have been for years.

Not 212, though.

I know this a ā€˜free’ platform, but I don’t like the feeling of being hindered when it comes to these sorts of opportunities.

I had to open a new account with another broker (who I already use) just so I can settle the PrimaryBid purchase. Obviously this broker is on the list. I wanted to do it here but…

Hi @Team212, I just found out about Pension Bee possible IPO and as their customer, I have a chance to purchase shares prior to the IPO. In order to do so I have to connect my T212 account with PrimaryBid however, I’ve been told they would first require your permission to be added to the platform.

Is there any chance we could have this option as I’ve seen many other major brokers (including IBKR) offering it?

Hi mate, I’ve seen that topic but since no one from @Team212 replied in over a year I decided to make a new one in hope of at least some reply this time around. I don’t mind them saying no can do, I just want answer. It won’t affect my views of the platform…

Fair enough, I guess the way to bump it up the chain is to try and get several people to follow and promote the idea to show there is demand.

+1 for this.

To those who currently use PrimaryBid, what fees does your ā€œotherā€ broker charge?

I suppose I’m hoping someone knows which is the cheapest broker on the approved list to use for this type of investment until trading 212 adds this feature? 212 don’t seem to be interested judging by the lack of response to this thread and I’d rather pay some fees to have access to additional investment opportunities.

Any info would be great, have a great Sunday!
