Strong drop in the stock market

On the chapter of strong drop in the market, i have predominantly been an LSE stock picker considering their under performance since brexit. I have most recently dipped my toe on Meta, Netflix & Teladoc…am now considering opening a position on CNX1 or EQQQ…if you were in my shoes would you wait a bit or make a move now??

Although i reckon strong drop on FTSE at the opening of market 6th may, so i’ll need to DCA

It’s not looking food for McColl’s:

Yeah, looks like it’s going poppers. Fingers crossed Monday a miracle happens.

Suspect its a fairly safe bet that the markets might be a bit volatile on Monday. To a point I’m trying to decide how much and what I would be happy buying. I might go with a safe option of buying HMWO, but I suspect if the market drops I would be best picking some more investment trusts at discounts than my typical index holdings.

It could be an interesting come back. A pity that the company ends like this though.

Coming out of the bank holiday weekend, would FTSE welcome us with a strong drop in the market on Tuesday - Coffee and cash recommended

Swings and roundabouts. A good time for anyone who gets paid end of month for their regular top up :grimacing:

Seems there are more diamond hands and balls of steel these days.
No one paying attention to Jerome at least not today tho

That’s why I think we haven’t found bottom yet. More to come!

In recent months picked up Boston Omaha at $19, Nelnet at $75-80 range, Markel sub $1200 and Tritax 160-180p range, lots of value to be had for long term investors, if your horizon is 1-3 years be careful though

I guess you“ve been buying even more even cheaper lately?

Yeap, steady drip feeding all the way

It seems the bear market is gradually easing off, although one man’s bear market could be another man’s bull market

This is nasdaq during dot com.

We have declined 35% from top in 2021 to lowest point in 2022.

I would say we are only at beginning of pain for many…

I can only dream my holdings go much lower, even back to 6 months ago prices would be nice to keep adding.

Couldn’t agree more, this is just the beginning.

Released FED minutes suggest the same

I think the worst is still ahead. Some market segments still far from capitulation and crypto living in own bubble anyway lols xD

Dot com bubble the companies weren’t making any money. I don’t see this going the same way for the wider market - some stocks perhaps but not on the nasdaq as a whole.
