What I also found helpful as a beginner is one free app called Investmate.

It actually has a very friendly and captivating way of providing you with information. There’s some paid content but honestly until you reach that point you get the gist of things and can set you on a course for other things for you to research on your own separately.

My advice for investing for the most part is invest in what you know and understand, invest what you can afford to loose (savings and investments are 2 different things) and invest for the long term…

I found very helpful this Ultimate Stock Market Toolkit which is a collection of free resources someone has put together.
Definitely useful for non-beginners too
