Xetra change of closing time from 1st of Dec

From the first of December Xetra exchange’s closing time will be 22:00 CET (Central EU time) to coincide with the US market’s closing time.

Will we be able to trade on Xetra during new extended hours?

We’re aware of this and are actively exploring its implementation. We’ll keep you posted if there’s any news.

Is there an update on this? This would be great functionality…

I’m afraid there’s nothing new to share since my last reply, but I’ll let you know if I hear anything.

Hi, XETR exchange has extended hours from 08:00 to 22:00. Way better than the regular hours 09:00 to 17:30.
A lot of instruments are traded (only) on XETR, many UCITS ETFs.
It extends the overlap with the US market from 2 hours to 6.5.
It enables working people to trade after work hours.
Personally I have traded for a long time with Scalable Capital on the extended hours and there are no issues with liquidity or spreads.

Please consider.
Best Regards.

Thanks for approving and moving my post here.
However, I wouldn’t guess this topic should be under ā€˜Help’.
’Help’ sounds like someone has a specific personal problem they want help with.
This is more of a suggestion for a change in the broker capabilities.
Please consider moving this to the ā€˜Features suggestions’.
Perhaps people would be interested.
IMO it’s important and probably the thing I want most on T212.

I’ve checked with the team, and unfortunately, we’re not able to offer this at the moment. If anything changes, we’ll update this thread.

That’s unfortunate. For EU investors it’s better than US extended hours. It’s also unfortunate that T212 will be behind Basic Brokers on this capability.

BTW, You do have the Gettex Exchange extended hours. But XETR is bigger and all the ETFs are on XETR. I wonder why T212 can trade on Gettex extended hours but not on XETR.

I realized that most of the extended hours trading on my German broker takes place on Gettex. Probably because it’s free.

T212 already has extended hours trading on Gettex.

Therefore I’ve opened a request to offer ETFs on Gettex. Currently, Almost all ETFs are offered only on XETR.
