Interesting. Need to take a look then!
Nothing new tbh.
Ark disruptive innovation is UCITS compliant for few months now.
What does ucits mean?
An Undertaking for Collective Investment in Transferable Securities ( UCITS ) is an investment fund that invests in liquid assets and can be distributed publicly to retail investors across the EU.
It’s a commonly suggested substitute but I don’t see what is wrong with creating your own pie with the stocks ARK hold in their funds. You skip the fees and have the option for customisation.
The thing is that you have to update the pie frecuently. And even if you update it everyday (I wouldnt have time for that), you would underperform the ETF, as they update their allocations a day after they made the trades.
So doesn’t this mean that the fund can be purchased by European citizens?
@David would you mind clearing this up?
Yes, a clarification would be very appreciated…
I do hope Ark will be avail soon on T212
It’s just CFD though ?
Sometimes less is more! Trading2012 should have priority to “future” valuable assets (stock’s, ETF’S, crypto). So add fast all ARK ETF’S and promising stock’s and crypto’s.
unless EU legislation changes, or ARK decides to domicile new ETFs in EU (Ireland) this is not possible.

edit: UCITS is just one method of creating an ETF. It does not necessarily need to be a UCITS to be usable in EU.
How is possible that Etoro has these Ark etf?
They don’t… as far as I can see they are selling a CFD (contract for difference)
Again I hate this law as much as the next guy and again I want to emphasize this is not T212s, etoro’s or your fault.
This is the legislation brought by an unelected EU commission just to line up some fund manager pockets while costing ordinary EU citizens and pensions millions every year. (even the simplest index tracker ETF managements fees are multiples of higher of their US counter parts)
I don’t think it’s cfd, they don’t charge overnight/ week end fee…
the screen shot is from etoro…
my sincerest apologies but your thinking or feeling matters little here, nor is relevant. If your question is “why are these etf’s are not listed in broker X” my answer is above. If your question is “how is broker Y listing this in EU” then it is best to ask broker Y
I’m also on etoro, with an account under European legislation. There you can buy the Original Asset (screenshot etoro).
It would be really nice is T212 would just quash this ? @David
