So, because I really do not like the changes made to the layout and the new way that pies are displayed (still don’t understand what was wrong with it just showing overall performance)
I was doing research into different platforms to transfer my ISA out of trading212.
But from what I found T212 is the only one I, as far as I can tell, that offers zero charges, apart from the small currency conversion and a couple of other bits.
I did look at Dodl, from AJ bell. But that charges minimum ÂŁ1 a month, depending on portfolio size.
Robin Hood, Freetrade, etoro, all don’t seem that attractive.
Admin, please do not delete this post. I am free to express my displeasure at the changes, as many others have.
Reddit might be a better place for an open discussion, but imo the range of stocks and fees come before everything else.
If you want to see terrible software, check out Webull, or Scottish Friendly / Shepherd Friendly but they really offer a different service for a higher price. I’m also really not a big fan of Freetrades UI, nor Robin Hood.
The overall performance is fine, but you’ll find on the forum a lot of people were asking for TWRR as well, as a potentially better indicator to use as a performance comparison of your returns vs say a popular ETF.
I would also recommend InvestEngine if you are just after ETFs, but is it really so bad here?
What I am saying, is the T212 platform is, as far as I can see, the most complete overall package.
And the cheapest to use.
So, even though the user interface is now, in my opinion, subpar, I will keep using it for now. Until a decent competitor launches or, and my preferred option. T212 techs allow variable user interfaces. A pro one and one that is useable and understandable by the average user.
Not sure if I got it right, but maybe look at 3rd party analytics tools rather than changing platform if it is better presentation you are after. Like snowball or portfolio performance…
Hey, I am using up my three email addresses on the free trials of snowball… lol.
I pay for stock events, but it is so manual it is tiresome.
I should not have to use a third party platform all because of the changes made to what was once a very easy to use interface, being changed to become less useful.
I have tried to buy individual, direct stocks from Singapore, Finland, Norway, Swiss, Middle Orient, Japan, S. Korea, Australia through IBKR and XTB, and it seems that it is possible to do that, only through CFDs.
Are there any other brokers, ways, where I can buy direct individual simple stocks for those countries ?
