Cash ISA and Stocks ISA

Hi all,

Hopefully this is just a user error question.

Under ISA allowance it tells some how much I have there with a blue dot… Underneath that it then says I have a small amount in Stocks ISA, this is an orange dot.

Question : how do I move the money from the stocks to cash ISA?

When I go to move my money it doesn’t give the option for that specific amount.

Thanks

You don’t have any spare cash in your stocks and shares isa to move over to your cash isa.

Sell some of your stocks if you want to hold more cash in the cash isa.

Menu/Manage Funds, blue Move Funds button, then there are up/down arrows to choose the source and the destination. Finally the green ‘£0’ is where you enter the amount.

Thanks for replying.

The trouble is when I select to move the £309 from Stocks ISA it doesn’t let me as it says I don’t have anything in there to move. ?

There only thing you can move is cash. If there is no cash there is nothing to move. It cannot move shares, not least because a Cash ISA cannot hold shares.
