Stocks Shares ISA help

Newbie here so apologies if question sounds daft :smiling_face: I have tried to Google and Help forums but still not clear .
Q: I have a 212 Cash ISA ( this tax years but not up to the max £20k ) . I fancy having a dabble with shares etc so would like to put say £250 into the Shares ISA and trying my luck with my own choice of shares .
Can I do this and if so how ? Any info greatly appreciated :ok_hand:

Hi @Mikbish you can do this. Provided you dont subscribe more than £20k per annum into ISAs.

Hi , thanks for the reply with the link . I have an understanding of ISA’s etc but unsure how I open a ‘stocks/shares’ account on my app alongside my 'cash isa ’ account that I already have . And do I put some funds into it direct or transfer from my ‘cash isa’ ? cheers

It has been a while since I opened my accounts but I think if you click the 3 lines to open the menu you should see some other accounts that you can open (see the image).

You can then transfwr money between your accounts and not have that count towards your ISA subscription.

Thanks for reply . Managed to open the Socks ISA but can’t see how to transfer some ££ from my Cash ISA into it ? It just says to add via bank deposit or card payment ?

Go into the menunsagain and youll see an option called “move funds”. From there you can move money between your accounts.
