Common format for history export file (CSV)

Thanks for that. But my problem, and I think that of most people here, isn’t the mapping of the data - that is easy enough within a spread sheet.

It’s the fact that the columns with the same import will change. e.g. All transactions import. If there is no sales figures then those columns aren’t included in the download. If there no dividends, then those columns aren’t included.

All we want is ALL of the columns included EVERY time with the data inserted in the correct column. Empty columns are OK.

Then we can just copy and paste ALL of the downloaded data, including the empty cells, and paste into our own spreadsheet. Job Done.

Thankyou for that.

It would be most appreciated.

Yeah that’s annoying for spreadsheets.

For importing into a database, it’s actually fine that way. It’s probably designed as a data saving measure to exclude blank data columns but yes much easier when there.

Similarly though google sheets could be used to parse the data into a common format for onward processing, but it’s also an unnecessary step easily removed by 212.
