is that even possibleā¦i mean why woudnt a message pop saying you dont have enough funds or somethingā¦in fact thereās a message saying that when you try to buy beyond your fundsā¦

That screengrab is inclusive with the half a partial buy before it.
You can have orders placed on your half to prevent a negative balance. The ASK and BID are always just indicative of price.

@isistyle The sell order was placed to protect you from going into a negative balance. You were able to purchase shares worth slightly more than you could afford.
