Want to clarify the difference between Declaration Date and Ex-Dividend Date.
I am correct, if I own/buy stocks before the Ex-Dividend Date I should be eligible to dividend? Or is it the Declaration Date that I should own/buy the stock?

Correctβ¦
Strictly: you must own the stock at the open on the ex-dividend date
And at the same time, market open, the value of the divided is taken out of the share value. (equity taken out of the share value is moved to dividend payout)
