Discourse set to watch everything?

The forums here appear to have been set up so that I’m watching everything so I get alerts and notifications for every post. Is that intentional? I think I’ve found a part of the preferences to turn this off, but quite an irritating start to the forums here

I’ve been on here a whole, but when I signed up everything was off by default.

You can click on your profile top right and switch notifications on everything to never.

This is what my notifications list looks like as a newbie.

I think I’ve worked it out but you have to click your name on the top right, go to preferences, then “Tracking” where I found every category set to “Watching”. Remove them all and save changes and hopefully it calms down!
