nah mate that’s the shorties trying to scare people out and then the market halted again. thats about 5 times so far today its halted!! Blackrock just bought a 13.2% share in this
2021-01-26 - BlackRock Inc. has filed an SC 13G/A form with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) disclosing ownership of 9,217,335 shares of GameStop Corp. (US:GME). This represents 13.2 percent ownership of the company. In their previous filing dated 2020-02-04, BlackRock Inc. had reported owning 11,271,702 shares, indicating a decrease of -18.23 percent.
Are you sure Blackrock just bought shares, not the fact that they need to announce a material interest given the market movements?
So crucially they are using this to lock in a 40x value compared to march levels…
It helps the shorts, but more importantly for Blackrock they probably money that they’d probably “written off” by now.
It definitely makes sense for them.
Rollercoaster day with this lol
@Vedran or @phildawson could one of you maybe merge this topic with the other GME thread or vice versa? (think it’s best to merge this with the other one so that at least some explanation is on top)
The big thread with the different stocks within it
CFD had a £2 spread difference as soon as market turned down a £20+ spread!! Joke
@David @Tony.V @Team212 any explanation for this?
Spread went so wide I couldn’t sell at a profit when it was a short 10x GME from 144
$185 after hours!!..
Edit: £205
This is an interesting one. I’m a ‘buy & hold’ guy but cannot help watching this and bought a solitary share just for the fun of it.
