Greatland Gold plc (GGP)

2 drilling rigs currently running now at Scallywags.

Almost at a $1bn unicorn market cap :moneybag:

I usually adjust my expectations to latest broker notes concerning Haverion (interfaced with some of the Twitter guys who have proved knowledgeable on GGP) but the latest one of 17.4p has been blown away which took me off guard as had more powder to get in on before the next leg up.

More wary now of a pullback… what’s the consensus on here? What’s the sensible upper bound :dart: you have in mind for the end game?

I have not looked at my initial notes, but I think my plan was to sell half my investment if it reached the 30-35p range. The idea would be to lock in some profits, as that would be around 3 times my average price.

Then I would probably leave the rest and hope that it continues to rise if Scallywag turns out to be a viable location for a mine.

Can I ask what you mean by ā€œthe end gameā€?

This is my first foray into mining stocks - is there a lifecycle I should be aware of? Do they become stale/stagnant at a certain point and, if so, when does that point usually present itself?

Thanks

By end game, I just mean exit. As I’m aware a lot of retail investors are in on this and got in very early at the sub-10p stage so I’d like to gauge what price they have in mind to exit their positions as that could be significant selling pressure I’d want to be aware of.

I’m new to this too so going along with the flow. In terms of end game, there’s speculation that Newcrest would/has a preference to own its operations, and so would look to buyout Greatlands share of the project rather than continue the JV with the when the mine becomes operational for Telfer. I see the logic in this tbh but it’s hard to predict.

Then there’s scallywag and other areas that have begun drilling. If they were to strike gold again that would be epic but I personally don’t hold much hopes for these as I’m mainly valuing on what’s real now and that’s Haverion.

Im in it until 80p or buyout

That’s firmly in the blue sky realm… what’s backing your conviction in that share price? Haverion stake alone or strikes at other projects too in that scenario?

Your wish is GGP’s command.

This might help you. It ties in also with a series of milestones that mines hit between exploration and actual production (for a junior miner).

Mining Graph - Very Important

Note: As GGP has the support of Newcrest and financing probably will not be an issue as they could just issue some shares for their 20-25% ownership of Havieron, I think that the process will be quicker than stated here, so I will probably keep some shares until the mine enters production. Important to note that they may require less facilities than most mines due to the option of processing the mineral at Telfer which is owned by Newcrest and near the end of its life.

I didn’t top up today in the end 2:30 hit and the price kept on creeping. 19:80 was its lowest. Now I wish I’d not sold off shares yesterday :woman_facepalming:t2:

Monday I’m wondering if there will be a pullback or if 20p could be the next stable price? What to do what to do!

edit News = results at 10pm tonight. :crossed_fingers:t2: It’s good news!!

Why would you be looking for the end game yet - it’s only just begun! :money_mouth_face: hold for gold!

25p this time next week - you heard it here first :joy::crossed_fingers:t2:

(GGP are granting my wishes with 17p and 20p so I may as well ask for another wish!)

I’m personally not selling and haven’t sold. Quite the contrary.

Minimum target to get me to consider selling is £1.

Great stuff mate, thanks for sharing. This bolsters what I’ve laboured over for a while, having not had prior experience with mining stocks, and that was whether the set-and-forget strategy could be used against them. Sounds like it can but the forget aspect is finite.

In any case I feel more comfortable in holding. Not all my folio is dedicated to swings, and I personally wanted this stock to sit in the ā€˜balance/foundation’ section of my folio. Cheers for sharing!

Totally agree with you all on buy & hold, that’s what I’ve done since 10p after learning my lesson of buying in at 7p, then selling at 9p as I was testing the waters and still learning about what the bubbling hype was about trying to see if it was genuine or ā€œrampersā€.

Re end game, I just think it’s sensible to have a sensible risk-return target :dart: Pre-revenue and mining is super high risk, so want to have at least a fair chance of at least another 1 bag return to compensate for this risk of huge potential loss. Having said this, this JV Newcrest is unique and derisks the project substantially. Still annoyed didn’t go all in but I might just do so if it dips to 17p at some point. Personally, I’d be happy with a mid-sky scenario of 30-40p. Anything above is dreamland and welcome. Let’s see fellow investors! :crossed_fingers:

Well said. Personally it’s nice to see a cluster of the community in the same stock in this way so we can have these threads and share resources. Wish there was more of it round here. :+1:t2:

(Haven’t even had a drink yet and I’m feeling all huggy…!)

I think that makes perfect sense, TBH one of the reasons I’m personally feeling much stronger in longevity and confidence over this stock is because I’m in a group chat that hold a ton of clever and knowledgable folk that seemingly eat and breath GGP. Some are in 7 figures deep! :flushed:
The research they do is second to none of inbetween the hundreds of messages you pick up some incredibly useful info. It’s rubbed off of me and left me feeling so glad to be in on this journey.

If I see things on there that I feel would be good posting on here I will do that too. If you’re all keen?

Im excited for next week and incredibly keen to top up again now.

(*I’ve had a drink and feeling :muscle:t2: over GGP!)

I think in holding this kind of stock (the mining kind) it’s so important to chat and keep an ear on the ground, more so than any other stock I hold. It’s too hard to do the work alone it’s all about sharing the info.

Hi mate,

Can I ask what group chat you are in? I’ve been trying to find a place to chat/learn about it for months, so much so I’ve created my own FB group for GGP investors! If it’s a shareable chat I’d love to be involved, I’ve only been in since 8p unfortunately but read alot on the LSE chat. Cheers!

Good news… some already priced in as this was anticipated, but, as we know from Tesla’s drop after missing out on anticipated S&P 500 inclusion, this confirmation is great for the stability of the share price in and around 20p:

Conviction in Havieron in one part but Scally and Goliath added to the valuation, and gold price predicted to reach 3000$, all make it less blue sky and more realistic scenario in my opinion. That table is only Havieron
I’m not going to pretend I know much about mining, but having spent months following GGP, reading other people’s valuations, watching videos from so many knowledgeable people like MagicTrades and InvestmentJourney, the constant updates from Paddy and the LSE/telegram members who live and breath GGP, the Gervais interviews, joining in the past two quarterly Newcrest and GGP conferences all agreeing that this is a once in a decade find…
it has given me a solid sense of conviction in the stock.

@Roadtoriches it’s the telegram chat I believe CeeGee is talking about
