Beware … my son just had a whats app message saying his trading 212 account had been hacked so they logged him out and asked for his verification code… NOTE - TRADING 212 WILL NEVER WHATSAPP YOU.
Luckily i spoke to Trading 212 on my chat who confirmed it was a scam… struggling to get my lad back into his account now as he’s forgotten his 10 digit number and the forgotten password reset email isn’t working… !!

Hi there! It’s a relief that you caught the scam on time and spotted the red flag.
As for getting your son back into his account - I managed to pinpoint the ongoing conversation with the team, and will make sure everything is resolved promptly.
First, I’d recommend checking the spam or junk folder just in case the reset email ended up there. If that doesn’t help, your son can expect an update via the in-app chat as we can’t share any details to third parties even when they are so closely related.

Well done on spotting the scam
The trading 212 lads have already sorted this for him this morning so he’s back in with no harm done but its definitely a wake up call.
