IPO planned for 8th, anyone been flowing AI-based medtech? any insights to share?
Hi @qs0926. The instrument is going through the usual preparatory steps on our side, and we expect it to be available as scheduled. Iβll send a message here when it becomes open for trading. ![]()
Baillie Giffardβs among the investors in this. I use the investment manager as a screener before doing my own due diligence because I have a similar strategy.
I own about half a dozen stocks that went public in the 2020/21 era, including RBLX, WISE and AFRM. I tend to avoid buying at IPO though, especially when things are overheated, so I waited two-three years to invest in most of them. A better buying opportunity often arises given how volatile such stocks can be.
The last IPO I bought was Tempus and I got in early for once as I had some conviction and any money lost would be in pursuit of a worthy aim. But Iβm not as convinced by Heartflow β nor feeling as charitable β so I doubt Iβll take up a meaningful position, if any. I will add it to a list for more research though.
In my experience, health-related stocks have an almost unrivalled ability to incinerate your capital.
