I have a couple of issues, and im hoping they can be resolved.
First of all, i set up a S&S isa with Hargreaves Lansdown this tax year, but want to switch to a 212 isa, i have filled out the transfer form but it says i need a 212 ISA account number in order to transfer, can i setup an ISA with yourselves this tax year and transfer the funds over from HL? or will i have to wait until April in order to do so?
Second issue is that i Used a hyphen for my surname to set up the Account but my Bank doesnt have a hyphen in it so i can’t transfer money over to the 212 account in order to get an account number (If i am able to set up another ISA with yourself.
Please can someone advice and help me on the situation, feeling pretty lost and frustrated at the moment because i can’t find an answer.

You have to create your ISA account with us, and then you can imitate the transfer. As long as there isn’t a deposit in your newly created ISA account, then you don’t have to wait for the current tax year to end - an active ISA subscription is considered whenever a deposit is present. That’s okay - as long as you put the account ID as reference number in the transfer note (you’ll see that ID on the deposit page), then the wire will be handled smoothly on our side.
That is great news ill create an isa with yourselves today. In order to gain access to my account number for trading 212 it is saying i need to make a deposit to view it on my bank statement, so won’t this conflict with what youve just said?
And in regards to the name, when i clicked on link bank and tried to make the deposit it instantly negated it becuase it said my name didn’t match up to the account.
It’s not necessary to make a deposit. See below:
As of the second part, if you’re about to use the Direct bank transfer, then I’d suggest reaching out our team at info@trading212.com, and we will troubleshoot further. However, as far as I understand, if you’re about to transfer your current ISA subscription, then you should not deposit an amount into your Trading 212 ISA account (as this will affect the yearly allowance).
Last question i promise haha, i sent off the email for the transfer with all the docs, should there be a confirmation email sent back to instantly or is it just when the team pick it up?
