Hello Investors!
Frist of all, I have been using T212 Invest since February 2024: I love the platform, the features it has and I liked how the developers have updated the app over the years. I have always been fascinated by number somehow: since I was I child I liked to make number count to be perfect matching with the real final result. I often browse the post feed in the T212 app, and I see many users asking for this and that feature to be included in the app. While the free app is amazing, I realized that deep dividend tracking and future projections were missing. So, I spent a lot of time trying to make a basic dividend tracking chart for myself. From there I added a total dividend income value, then yield on cost, and I just couldn’t stop until I built a full automated Dividends Dashboard!
I think having these data on hand can complete your investing experience, especially if you are a long term minded investor who is focused on growth, and wants to see how you are performing month after month and year after year with your dividends. If you have more ideas, or more features that you want to see in the tracker, please let me know in the comments. I will be happy to reply to your comments
What approach and data sources did you use to forecast future dividends, both dates and amounts? How far into the future do you forecast? Do you reconcile the forecast against actual amounts when the dividends are paid?
The Forward Annual is actually the Projected Annual Income, I changed the wording to reflect the overall consensus in finance terminology. It is just the value that you will be payed taking into account the dividend growth rate of your dividend payers. I’m updating the colour palette of the interface, I think I have found a good balance. Version 1.0 will be ready soon.
Added a motivational Collected+Projected(expected) income chart: the logic is based on the dividend yield of the whole portfolio and the DGR (but weighted, just the dividend growth rate of the dividend payers): it is the most realistic projection. The chart updates every new year, adding a new fresh projected column, so you always have 2 full years of projections.
You can tweak your inputs under the chart: choose the live data of the portfolio (box checked) or to stress-test the output based on specific data input (values right beside the boxes) . You can set contributions to 0 to see the projections if you were not to add a dime in the portfolio.
I might add a line, in the input section, to see the projection for 10 or 30 years, because I don’t want to overpopulate the chart with 30 or 40 columns, maybe just by adding a simple dropdown menu where you can choose the number of projection years or the specific year.
This specific tracker is the Syncing Pro Version. I’m working also on a CSV version where the user can simply upload their CSV file: you will have the same experience looking at the dashboard I will come back to this discussion to share the tracker
