How much have you invested?

MAN!! lol some nice picks they are doing so good - Cheers!

Just bear in mind the practice account gives you a automatic “professional” account with some serious leverage up to 1:500, you will only be able to have the fixed leverage of 1:30 on a real money retail only so gains will be a lot lower. Thankfully so are the losses

That’s really helpful knowledge Lenos. Thank you

@Adm, why don’t you just invest it in a bunch of ETFs?
For example the Vanguard World ETF.
Try to get a bit of Small Cap also, I don’t know if there is a world-wide ETF for it.

Put it into a diverse pie of ETFs including all sectors ad sizes (and maybe a small amout in REITs and commodities if you want to) and then just forget for 30 years .

The easiest option would be 80% to a World ETF and then split the other 20% into some ETFs for small caps eg. European Small Cap, USA Small cap and Emerging Markets small cap and forget about it. The small cap is just because the World ETF only includes large cap stocks.

You might appreciate it further down the line, if it goes up. Not advice though, just an idea for thought .

Make sure you don’t forget your login details though.

Edit:
P.S. Maybe even put 0.5% to gold, 0.5% to silver, 0.5% to other commodities and a few % to REIT. Another option is to add 5-10% to bonds, but I don’t invest in them so I don’t know.

Yea, I made quite a bit doing exactly this earlier in the year. I think I will get into some ETF’s again, but at these prices it just seems a little too high right now, so I may ride the storm until after xmas.

Thanks for the advice  :v:

This fluctuates wildly though as I’m a gold hunter :see_no_evil:

Other than that I’m fairly safe with lots of ETF’s, some oil, RR, online casino, Tesla (for the crack) and a few other bits and bats I get FOMO too often!

I’ve only been investing since April so I’m happy (today!) with the look of this portfolio.

I’m only showing off as I’ve been in the red for months and I’m excited to see green! (It never lasts but it’s bloody nice to see!)

Investing each and every month for 10-15 years (:crossed_fingers:t2:)

I know the feeling. been in the red for months sitting on hundreds in the red due to being in OXY before its 70% price cut xD

the last few days have me in the green by a healthy margin due to DCA, shame FX is taking a bite out of my profits now, but I still think the company is underpriced for what it is really worth, so not been in a rush to take any profits on the position.

total portfolio went from -6% on average to +9~10% due to the last 2 days of market movement.

I try not to look at it overall as it’s ridiculously changeable but I must admit it’s a good feeling when you see your portfolio in the green. It’s kinda like “hey maybe I know what I’m actually doing here :exploding_head:” then it flips back to red and I get on with my days :joy:

I hate having a stock that drags everything down but then I counter act that feeling with “mmmm have i some free cash to top it up?”

Ebbs and flows of the crazy stock world!

The scale is in months as my account has been open just over a year now but the line is where my portfolio first fell out of sync with my deposits xD nearly broken even at one point, but OXY was down and it was other positions of mine sitting in the healthy green :stuck_out_tongue:

the flick at the end has been a satisfying view. but unlike Warren Buffett, I didn’t have many years to build up the underlying position for such positive movement so it almost feels like I lost out on my chance to make it big

I’m now at £2,100 in Trading 212 and it hasn’t even been a month. I’ve only deposited ~£50… thank you Tesla

God that photo looks terrible in full size, I need to get a new one lol

All you put in was £50 ? If that’s the case then that’s bloody amazing.

Less than £40 actually

Edit: to confirm also, my return isn’t correct either. My Trading 212 return would actually be £1,067, which is a 103% return (since January, so almost 11 months). Thanks @vento for pointing that out :sunglasses:

Mostly high growth companies. One of them is Tesla, up 340% on that, Apple, Facebook, Uber, Palantir, and a few more. I have only a tiny portion in value stocks.
