Improved portfolio screen - Better return calculations (MWRR), Cash widget, and more!

Where on the web interface are you able to see again the profit/loss? I have still the new one (the graph showing total return and rate of return)

Click on the pie symbol in the top middle task buttons (I wish they had provided a name to each button as a hover help )

To your left you will see various groups, click in sequence as below

Asset Allocation >> More Details >> see the summary listing on the right

You will find the following:

  1. Unrealised Results
  2. Cost Basis
  3. Assets viewed by
    • Value
    • Market Price

You can also see the following on the main (Home >> Advanced View ) screen to your right bottom corner

  • Free Funds ( available funds to invest)
  • Portfolio (your current portfolio value)
  • Results (unrealised gains)

Yes, I’ve found the ā€˜Assets value’ screen under More details. Thanks for adding this, T212 team, very helpful!

Thankfully the website now has ā€˜Unrealised result’ and ā€˜Cost basis’ (aka what was ā€˜Invested’) on the asset map ā€˜more details’ page… but only on the website not the mobile app. Hopefully that will follow.

Also, the ā€˜better’ (allegedly) gain or loss on the homepage is against a rolling datum rather than a fixed datum. For longer timescales this is less of an issue, but for 1D (labelled above as 24h), the gain or loss is tracking against the market movement on the previous day minute by minute, which has to be pretty useless information.

Surely, 1D should be a measure against a fixed date and time e.g. prior day at local time = whatever which ideally would be specified by the user.

I would also like the ā€œinvested totalā€ to return as an option alongside the other metrics.

T212 are decent, I’m sure they will listen and offer this option again.

Still a long way to go to find what was easily accessible in the previous iteration of the app and the web interface. A fantastic option would be to give us different options or even themes of what we have displayed on the interface. I would certainly welcome this with open arms.

It’s back on Web and App, if you don’t see it on the App update

Update the App, it’s there now

Where exactly is it? I can’t see it!

Thank you all for your thoughtful input so far

We understand that changes can be challenging to adapt to, especially when they differ from what you’re accustomed to. We’re taking everyone’s perspectives into account, and we appreciate every piece of feedback you’ve shared with us so far.

We’ve recently enriched the portfolio section by incorporating additional data and merging elements from the old portfolio view to provide a more comprehensive set of statistics. Here’s what we added:

Unrealised result: The combined potential profit/loss of your current investments, showing how much you could gain or lose if you sell them.

Cost basis: The total amount of funds you’ve invested in the shares you currently own.

To find those details, follow the steps below:

  1. Go to the ā€˜Portfolio’ section by clicking the Pie button.
  2. Scroll down to ā€˜Asset allocation’.
  3. Click on ā€˜More details’.

These are changes only to those that use pies, correct?

I don’t, and I don’t see changes to anything else.

Thanks.

No. More details button under the red and green tree map

Say no more. :grimacing:

So same info as in the portfolio.

I assume this is useful to pie people, because the rest of us already have this info in our portfolios.

I think you’re still misunderstanding. It’s got absolutely nothing to do with pies so forget about them entirely.

People wanted simple returns back, if you head to just under the treemap theres a button called more details, press that button, in that new screen that opens simple returns are listed at the top. If it isn’t there check you’re up to date in the app.

It shows current values and unrealized profits for each equity …

But this is identical to what I have under the Investments tab.

What am I missing?

At least in the latest version of the Android app, it also shows the unrealized gain/loss (=simple returns) and cost basis, just like on the web.

Apps up to date… I’ll just wait.

What a weird place to put in… wtf?

Let us choose what we see, don’t hide it under tabs and options.

What a mess.
