The 212 Crypto account is currently available only to clients registered under the Trading 212 Markets Ltd. entity. If you’re registered under the UK entity, the 212 Crypto account won’t appear as an option. We are, however, working on introducing crypto ETNs; you can follow this topic for updates.

Will we get this in the UK at all? ETNs are not the real thing, and I’m completely uninterested in that.

We don’t have any news on whether the 212 Crypto account will be available to clients registered under the UK entity. If we hear anything, we’ll let you know.

Amazing! Finally! Long awaited, at least by me. Well done, Trading212!

One platform for everything.

All that remains is to make it possible to deposit and withdraw crypto assets through the respective blockchains.
This will open up many new opportunities and attract many new customers to the platform.

Do you intend to have this option in the near future?

I also want to ask if it will be possible to transfer funds between the Invest Account and the Crypto Account? At the moment I see that it is only possible to top up the Crypto Account with a bank transfer or card, which is not very convenient. Provided that the given user has free funds in the Main Pot, this would be a great convenience.

This is great, thanks for this feature. I’d love to move all my investments to one platform, especially because how easy to use Trading 212 is.

However, I tried the feature, and right now it is a bit murky. So I have some questions:

  1. Will you transparently show within the Review Order modal what are the fees associated with the purchase?
  2. Will we be able to create pies and autoinvest for Crypto? That’s the main feature I use and love Trading212 for.

Buying and selling cryptocurrencies incurs a spread cost, which is already built into the price shown on the Review order screen. There are no FX or stock exchange fees - those apply only when using the CFD or Invest account.

As for the Pies, we don’t have any news on whether they can be added to the Crypto account. If this or a similar feature is introduced, we’ll be sure to announce it.

The same way we can transfer portfolios to and from Trading 212 Invest, will there be an option do transfer my crypto portfolio from other platforms to Trading 212 Crypto?

That’s an interesting idea! We don’t have plans for crypto transfers at the moment, but we’ll keep you posted if this becomes possible in the future.

Hi! When buying crypto on T212 am I holding my crypto and be able to send it to a wallet or does the platform hold it for me?

You are the owner of all assets you purchase via our app, but the crypto you own is not directly on the blockchain as trades are settled off‑chain, so nothing moves to or from personal wallets. With that in mind, wallet transfers are not supported currently, but we will let you know if this changes in the future :folded_hands:
