@iAndy, @Dosm, @lupocos We received word from Curve on both topics and can confirm that the issue lies with them. Iām afraid thereās not much we can do apart from urging them to fix this - weāll keep you posted.
Thought that might be the case Thank you mate, much appreciate the clarification
Thank you for the update
Hello, is there a limit on the number of times a virtual card can be obtained?
If you decide not to use the card for some time, you can just freeze it. To do so, you should:
- Go to the card section.
- Go to the āCard settingsā.
- Press āFreeze cardā.
Is there a way to prove to the Curve support agent (who finally replied after more than a week wait) that our Trading 212 card are actually not business but personal? They are still claiming that on their end it appears to be business. Hereās what they said:
please note that your card BIN is set to Business card for Commercial use. I would like to ask you to kindly confirm this with Trading212 about this BIN. Also, you can check more information on a BIN checker on the internet to see if thereās any other information on the card that you think that itās not true.
I managed to add my card to Curve after a few attempts. So it seems a bit hit and miss.
Mine never works, I lost count of the many attempts.
Curve support is now saying that my ābankā (Trading 212) supposedly declined the authentication request, which is false, I successfully clicked Confirm inside T212 app.

I can see we tried to verify your card electronically (via 3ds), and your bank declined the authentication request.
The best way to fix this is to contact your bank and ask them to review your transaction history and approve Curve transactions.
Please note that the first level support of large issuing banks canāt always see rejected 3ds challenges and it would be best to be put through their Fraud or Risk Team directly - theyāll then be able to help.
Also, can you please make sure that 3DS for online payments are enabled for this card and that the 3DS provider has the ability to allow payments for Ā£0.00?

Well I ordered my card 2nd April and still not arrived. Was advised by chat today to terminate and order new one, had to pay fee again but they say it will be reviewed and refunded. Hope I donāt have to wait another 2 weeks for this one to arrive
Worth directing them to Mastercards own bin site that shows the card is a personal card.
https://developer.mastercard.com/product/bin-lookup
Trading212 replied to me via customer service to confirm the card is personal and Iāve supplied that to Curveās agents too. Itās currently being reviewed.
This is what curve said to me. Given up now and will just wait for Apple Pay I think.
Yes I pointed them to that Mastercard BIN checker as well. But that one doesnāt actually say that it is āpersonalā card, does it? Neither does it say ābusinessā or ācommercialā.
Is āDEBIT STANDARDā the bit that we should be looking at?
I donāt actually know how a business card would appear in that Mastercard BIN checker to tell it apart from a personal one.
If you click on JSON there should be a bit for consumer type. Last time I checked this I think it said personal but now it just says null
This was the same outcome for myself for a quick delivery this time.
Iāve made good progress with Curve.
My card no longer shows as attracting fees and they are updating their database.
Same, just tested it and there are no fees!
I canāt add my virtual card to curve, after entering card details I get āyou canāt add this card to curveā, are others getting this?
Mine just reloads some verification screen several times before and after me approving it, then says it cannot verify and to try again.
I get this too. It just loading over and over then i approve and it doesnt work
3 weeks in and curve still doesnāt work.
The last email said I should contact by bank, which would be 212, to get them to approve this verification process???
At a total loss & do not know what to do?
Could 212 issue me a new virtual card with a new number?
As it seems hit and big misses when it comes to Curve approving these and getting cards actually to work with their app.
